Data Processing
Personal Data (as defined in the law or laws giving effect to the EU Data Protection Directive) provided by you as part of your subscription registration process is used by us to service and fulfil your account and to provide such additional services and information to you as we reasonably think appropriate. As part of this, we will export Personal Data to our affiliate organisation (Reed Elsevier Inc.) in the United States. Subject to the foregoing, we will protect your Personal Data with appropriate levels of security and will comply with the applicable data protection law. You undertake that you have permission of any Data Subject in respect of any Personal Data you send to us.

Payment Details
Any information provided by you in connection with any transaction regarding your credit or debit card numbers, expiry date and billing or delivery address will be used by us to process the transaction. Your information will be stored securely and may be used by us to facilitate and personalise future transactions with you. In efforts to prevent and combat identity theft and fraud, we do not retain your full payment card number.

Reed Elsevier will retain your data for up to two years from the date it is last actively used, as required by applicable laws.

While your record remains active we will use the data you provide to assess potential matches to vacancies in our organisation, and to send you announcements relating to employment opportunities available in Reed Elsevier for which we believe you may be suitable.

For these purposes Reed Elsevier may share your candidate record and Personal Information with other Reed Elsevier companies and employees located in our offices around the world.
