gmk was established in 1998 and is an independent recruitment company specialising in the placement of PSLs and lawyers, from newly qualified to partner. With a client base encompassing all major law firms we ensure candidates have access to the widest range of jobs. All of our consultants are ex lawyers, which gives us a first hand understanding of what law firms and lawyers do.

We have a specialist Professional Support Lawyers Division which boasts knowledge gleaned from years of experience placing PSLs at all levels, from entry level to “Head of Support” roles.

Over 50% of the candidates we place come from recommendations and referrals and in the most recent Legal Week Intelligence Survey gmk was rated by HR professionals and recruiting partners amongst the Top 3 of all UK legal recruitment agencies for its “reputation amongst candidates” and “professional integrity and confidentiality”.

Deborah Adkins BA (Hons), Director - Deborah joined gmk in 2001 and was promoted to director in 2005. Her legal career was spent with Pinsent Masons and CMS Cameron McKenna. Deborah places PSLs, assistant solicitors and partners within a wide range of London law firms.

Lipson Lloyd-Jones (LL-J) has been established in London since 1987, moving to its Cheapside office in the City in February 1990. One of the few remaining independent agencies, we are known for our friendly and professional approach, treating each candidate as an individual, not just a CV. We are instructed by most major practices as well as the full spectrum of small, medium sized and niche firms, handling vacancies encompassing every legal discipline at every level.

Our in-house client base is vast and includes major and minor players in the financial, industrial, manufacturing, construction & engineering, commercial, technology, telecoms and regulatory sectors.

As one of the few agencies in the country with a specialist Professional Support Lawyer (PSL) Division, LL-J has gained considerable expertise and an impressive track record in this niche recruitment area.

We are proud to have been awarded the 2008 recruitment campaign on an exclusive basis by LexisNexis, successfully recruiting a substantial number of lawyers for the new LexisPSL offering.

Shelley Carr BA (Hons), Senior Consultant - Shelley joined Lipson Lloyd-Jones in 2001 handling private practice and in-house recruitment at all levels. Since 2003 she has specialised in Professional Support recruitment.
