Lisa Carkeek
Solicitor, Private Client
Lisa's experience covers all aspects of traditional private client law, including wills and probate at every level, the creation, administration and termination of trusts and mitigating tax exposure. Lisa has a particular interest in sophisticated international tax planning.
Lisa started her legal career as a trainee at Palmer Cowen in Mayfair and went onto qualify into the Tax Department of SJ Berwin. Prior to joining LexisNexis UK Lisa worked as a Senior Solicitor in the Private Individuals Division of Penningtons.
Before embarking on her UK legal career Lisa lived in the USA whilst employed as the Protocol Officer of the Embassy of the Republic of South Africa, Washington D.C. She also lived in Saudi Arabia whilst she was employed by the Saudi Arabian Department of Defence and Aviation in Riyadh.
Malcolm Skinner
Solicitor, Private Client
Malcolm specialises in Private Client work with particular emphasis on wills and probate. He also has experience of the contentious side of wills and trusts.
He has been involved in the law since 1972, training and qualifying in private practice where he remained for all but the two years he spent qualifying as a teacher and gaining practical experience of lecturing to and teaching lawyers. He has been a partner in a number of provincial firms as well as in a niche City practice. His experience encompasses dealing with the basic elements of private client to advising HNW clients. He also has experience of dealing with elderly client and mental capacity issues and acting for charitable and ecclesiastical organisations.
